I’ve been hooked on girl in red ever since hearing her first single - “i wanna be your girlfriend” - last year. If you haven’t heard of her yet, then now is a good time to start.
Marie Ulven, the 20-year-old Norwegian singer/songwriter sensation who goes by the stage name ‘girl in red,’ has been making music for a while, but only recently started writing, recording, producing, & releasing tunes under the ‘girl in red’ alias. The Oslo-based artist’s debut EP - chapter 1 - was released last year and her follow-up EP - chapter 2 - just dropped last Friday. She’s since amassed a sizable following due to the subject matter of her songs focusing on relatable topics such as her sexuality and/or her struggles with depression.
