Coloring Book - Chance the Rapper

Have you listened to Chance the Rapper’s third mixtape/first album yet? If not, then you should. It takes you to church. I personally haven’t listened to anything else since it was released a couple of weeks ago. I know that might sound excessive, but Coloring Book is actually making history. It’s the first album to make it to the Billboard 200 chart solely through online streaming. It’s currently at number eight on the charts and has been streamed 57.3 million times. That’s about the equivalent of 38,000 album buys, although I’m not really sure how that number is calculated… If you don’t want to take my word for it, you can read about it in Billboard, Rolling Stone, Pitchfork and XXL Magazine. Even if you’re not a fan, it’s hard not to admire the guy for making music with a positive message and giving it away for free.
